TICAM1 (TRIF)는 선천 면역 반응에 관여하며, TLR3 및 TLR4 신호전달에서 어댑터 역할을 수행합니다. NF-κB 및 IRF 활성화를 매개하고, 세포자멸사를 유도합니다. 리간드 결합 후 TIR 도메인을 통해 TRIF가 모집되며, TBK1, TRAF6, RIPK1 등의 단백질과 상호작용하여 IRF3, IRF7, NF-κB, FADD를 활성화합니다.
