• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
• The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Periaxin is a protein encoded by the PRX gene, involved in peripheral nerve myelin maintenance.
It contains two PDZ domains, named after PSD95 (post-synaptic density protein), DlgA (Drosophila disc large tumor suppressor), and ZO1 (mammalian tight junction protein).
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encode different isoforms with distinct Schwann cell targeting.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy type 4F and Dejerine-Sottas neuropathy.
