Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP)은 특정 염증성 질환 과정의 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 효소입니다.
이 효소에는 장, 태반, 태반 유사형, 간/골/신장 등 네 가지 주요 동종효소가 존재하며, 그 특성이 잘 규명되어 있습니다.
PLAP은 임신 3기 태반에서 발현되는 막 결합형 이소효소(Regan 및 Nagao type)와 반응합니다.
PLAP은 고환 생식세포 종양의 식별에 유용하며, PLAP 양성 체세포 종양은 일반적으로 상피막 항원(EMA)을 함께 발현합니다.
또한 PLAP은 기질 무기화와 관련된 기능이 제안되었으나, 해당 효소가 결핍된 마우스에서도 정상적인 골격 발달이 관찰됩니다.
PLAP은 고인산분해효소증(hypophosphatasia)과 직접적으로 연관되어 있으며, 이는 고칼슘혈증 및 골격 이상을 특징으로 하는 질환입니다.
이 질환의 임상 양상은 돌연변이 유형에 따라 발현 시기와 중증도가 달라질 수 있습니다.
