Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

EXOSC7 is a non-catalytic component of the RNA exosome complex, which possesses 3′→5′ exoribonuclease activity and is involved in RNA processing and degradation.
In the nucleus, it contributes to the maturation of rRNA, snRNA, and snoRNA, and to the elimination of RNA processing by-products and non-coding transcripts such as antisense RNA and PROMPTs.
It also helps remove defective mRNAs to prevent their export to the cytoplasm.
In the cytoplasm, the exosome complex degrades unstable mRNAs with AU-rich elements and participates in RNA surveillance pathways, preventing translation of aberrant mRNAs.
It may also be involved in histone mRNA degradation and in Ig class switch recombination (CSR) and somatic hypermutation (SHM) processes.
