Target Information
UHMK1 (also known as KIS) is a Ser/Thr protein kinase that phosphorylates CDKN1B/p27Kip1 upon serum stimulation, regulating its subcellular localization and cell cycle progression in G1 phase. It contains one RRM (RNA recognition motif) domain and may be involved in RNA trafficking and processing. KIS is widely expressed, with highest levels in skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and peripheral blood leukocytes.
