The GeneArt™ Cryopreservation Kit for Algae is designed to preserve algal strains and clones for long-term storage at -80°C, eliminating the need for liquid nitrogen storage or continuous cultures. Cryopreservation minimizes genetic drift, reduces maintenance labor and cost, and enables safe exchange of algal strains between laboratories.

사용 방법

1. Grow cells in the presence of Cryopreservation Reagent A for 2–5 days.
2. Harvest and resuspend in Cryopreservation Reagent B.
3. Freeze aliquots in one of the recommended freezing containers at -80°C.

This kit has demonstrated 100% resuscitation after thawing for Chlamydomonas and Chlorella strains.
