Target Information
DTX2 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and acts as a regulator of Notch signaling, which controls various cell-fate determinations. It may function as both a positive and negative regulator of Notch depending on developmental and cellular context. DTX2 mediates the antineural activity of Notch, possibly by inhibiting transcriptional activation mediated by MATCH1. It functions as a ubiquitin ligase protein in vitro, suggesting a role in Notch pathway regulation via ubiquitin ligase activity.
