Product Specific Information

F(ab`)2 fragments were prepared by pepsin digestion. Cross-reactivity with mouse IgG has been reduced by adsorption.
For FACS analysis, use 50 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
Reconstitute with 0.5 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting, or purification of the specified target.
Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility, enabling users to use many detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence). They also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to generate highly specific reagents.
