Target Information
KISS1 유전자는 흑색종 및 유방암의 전이를 억제하는 전이 억제 유전자로 알려져 있습니다. 이 단백질은 화학주성 및 침습을 억제하여 악성 흑색종의 전이를 완화할 수 있습니다. 또한 세포-기질 부착 이후의 세포골격 재조직화와 관련된 조절 역할을 할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
KISS1의 단백질 산물인 kisspeptin은 시상하부의 GnRH(생식샘자극호르몬 방출호르몬)를 자극하여 성선자극호르몬 분비를 유도하고, 사춘기 시 GnRH 뉴런 활성화를 조절합니다.
말단 엑손의 다형성으로 인해 두 가지 단백질 아이소폼이 생성되며, 특정 염기 결실 시 단백질이 7개의 아미노산이 추가된 형태로 연장됩니다.
