Target Information
CEP164은 처음에는 중심체 단백질로 확인되었으나, 이후 연구에서 원섬모(primary cilia) 형성과 DNA 손상 반응(DNA damage response)에 관여하는 매개 단백질로도 알려졌습니다.
CEP164는 ATR 및 ATM 단백질과 상호작용하며, DNA 손상 유도 세포주기 체크포인트를 포함한 다양한 세포 반응을 유도합니다.
복제 스트레스, 자외선(UV) 및 이온화 방사선에 의해 인산화되며, CEP164의 발현 억제는 DNA 손상 신호전달 경로의 여러 단백질 인산화를 감소시키고 UV 손상 후 세포 생존율을 저하시킵니다.
CEP164는 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
