Target Information
This gene encodes one of three natriuretic peptide receptors. Natriuretic peptides regulate blood volume, pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac function, as well as metabolic and growth processes. The encoded receptor clears circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides via endocytosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
