Target Information
Guanylate kinase (GK)는 GMP를 GDP로 인산화하는 ATP 의존성 효소로, GMP 및 간접적으로 cGMP의 재활용에 필수적입니다. 원핵생물, 하위 진핵생물 및 척추동물에서 약 200 아미노산 길이의 고도로 보존된 단량체 단백질입니다.
GK는 Vaccinia virus의 A57R(SalG2R) 단백질과 구조적으로 유사합니다.
DHR 도메인, SH3 도메인 및 C-말단 GK-like 도메인을 포함하는 단백질들은 MAGUKs(membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologs)로 불리며, Drosophila DLG1, mammalian Zo-1, SAP90/PSD-95, SAP97/DLG1, SAP102, p55, C. elegans lin-2, rat CASK, human DLG2 및 DLG3 등을 포함합니다.
GK의 N-말단에는 ATP 결합 부위(P-loop)가 존재하나, GK-like 도메인에는 보존되어 있지 않습니다. 그러나 이들 단백질은 GK에서 MP 결합에 관여하는 잔기를 유지하고 있습니다.
