CNOT3는 CCR4-NOT 복합체의 구성 요소로, 세포 내 주요 mRNA deadenylase 중 하나입니다. 이 복합체는 mRNA 분해, miRNA 매개 억제, 번역 개시 시의 억제, 전사 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정과 관련되어 있습니다. 또한, 에너지 대사 관련 mRNA의 deadenylation 표적에 복합체를 모집하는 데 관여할 수 있습니다.
