Target Information
Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody produced by B cells in response to antigen exposure. It is the first antibody generated during an immune response and is the largest immunoglobulin in serum. Composed of five heavy chains and five light chains, Mouse IgM participates in complement activation and antigen agglutination. It plays an essential role in the innate immune system and helps neutralize pathogens before the adaptive immune response is fully developed.
Mouse IgM is widely used in research and diagnostic assays such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
