Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45268 was sufficient for detection of DUX4 in 20 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG: HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 45 kDa. No cross-reactivity with DUX4c.
Target Information
DUX4 (Double homeobox 4)는 안면견갑상완형 근이영양증(FSHD)의 주요 원인 유전자 후보로 알려져 있습니다. FSHD는 염색체 4의 D4Z4 반복 서열 결실로 인해 발생하며, 각 반복에는 DUX4를 암호화하는 유전자가 포함되어 있습니다. 정상 조직에서는 DUX4 발현이 후성유전적으로 억제되어 있으나, FSHD 환자의 골격근 등 일부 세포에서 완전 길이 DUX4 단백질이 과발현되어 세포 독성을 유발합니다.
