Target Information
NDUFB11 is an accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), believed not to be directly involved in catalysis. It participates in electron transfer from NADH to the respiratory chain and is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. The immediate electron acceptor is ubiquinone. NDUFB11 is associated with NADH dehydrogenase and oxidoreductase activity. Dysfunction of the NDUFB11 protein is linked to diseases such as linear skin defects with multiple congenital anomalies and mitochondrial complex I deficiency.
