Target Information
Glycerol-3-phosphate phosphatase hydrolyzes glycerol-3-phosphate into glycerol, thereby regulating cellular levels of glycerol-3-phosphate — a metabolic intermediate of glucose, lipid, and energy metabolism. It also exhibits 2-phosphoglycolate phosphatase and tyrosine-protein phosphatase activities, though their physiological relevance remains unclear. In vitro, it shows phosphatase activity toward ADP, ATP, GDP, and GTP.
