Target Information
Msx2 is a transcriptional repressor that helps balance survival and apoptosis of neural crest-derived cells, essential for craniofacial morphogenesis. It may also promote cell growth under certain conditions and serve as a target in RAS signaling pathways. Mutations in the Msx2 gene are associated with parietal foramina 1 and craniosynostosis type 2.
