Target Information
RBP4는 lipocalin 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 혈중에서 retinol(비타민 A)의 운반체 역할을 합니다. 간에서 저장된 retinol을 말초 조직으로 전달하며, plasma 내에서 transthyretin과 결합하여 신장 여과에 의한 손실을 방지합니다.
비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 억제되어 표피 세포로의 retinol 공급이 저해됩니다.
