Target Information
Bromodeoxyuridine (5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine, BrdU)는 티미딘(thymidine)의 합성 유사체로, 세포 증식 분석에 널리 사용됩니다. BrdU는 세포주기 S기 동안 DNA 합성 시 티미딘을 대체하여 새로 합성되는 DNA에 통합됩니다. BrdU 특이 항체를 이용해 DNA에 통합된 BrdU를 검출함으로써, 활발히 증식 중인 세포를 식별할 수 있습니다. 항체 결합을 위해서는 일반적으로 산 또는 열 처리로 DNA 변성 과정이 필요합니다.
