Target Information

Ixekizumab is a humanized immunoglobulin G subclass 4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody (mAb) targeting interleukin-17A (IL-17A). It prevents IL-17A from binding to its receptor, thereby inhibiting inflammatory signaling pathways.
IL-17A is a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in immune responses and inflammation. Blocking IL-17A is beneficial in managing autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and plaque psoriasis.

Ixekizumab is produced via recombinant DNA technology in CHO cells and purified using standard bioprocessing techniques. The antibody consists of:

• Two identical light chain polypeptides (219 amino acids each)
• Two identical heavy chain polypeptides (445 amino acids each)
• Molecular weight: approximately 146,158 Daltons (protein backbone)

It is indicated for research use in studies related to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
