Target Information
Glycogen synthase kinase 3 alpha (GSK3A) is a multifunctional serine/threonine kinase involved in regulating various proteins and transcription factors.
GSK3A (Alias: DKFZp686D0638) is part of the glycogen synthase kinase family. Human GSTs are divided into five main classes: alpha, mu, pi, theta, and zeta.
The theta class includes GSTT1 and GSTT2, which share 55% amino acid sequence identity and play important roles in human carcinogenesis. The GSTT1 gene is located approximately 50 kb from GSTT2, and both genes have similar exon/intron structures.
