Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified α-Amylase (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens). Cross-reactivity with α-Amylase from other tissues and species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Amylases are secreted enzymes that hydrolyze 1,4‑α‑glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, catalyzing the first step in the digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome includes several amylase genes expressed mainly in salivary glands and pancreas. This antibody recognizes the α‑Amylase isoenzyme produced by the salivary gland.
