Target Information
TOMM34 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 미토콘드리아로 전구 단백질을 수입하는 과정에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 샤페론(chaperone)과 유사한 활성을 가지며, 접히지 않은 단백질의 성숙 부분을 결합하여 미토콘드리아로의 수입을 돕습니다.
세포질에 존재하며 때로는 외부 미토콘드리아 막과 연관되어 있으며, 약한 ATPase 활성을 가지고 6개의 TPR 반복 서열을 포함합니다.
