Target Information
Ephrin receptors와 그 리간드인 ephrins는 특히 신경계에서 다양한 발달 과정을 매개합니다. 구조 및 서열 유사성에 따라 ephrins는 두 가지 클래스로 구분됩니다.
- Ephrin-A (EFNA): glycosylphosphatidylinositol로 막에 부착
- Ephrin-B (EFNB): 막관통 단백질
Eph 수용체 계열은 리간드 결합 특성과 세포외 도메인 서열 유사성에 따라 두 그룹으로 나뉘며, receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) 계열 중 가장 큰 하위 그룹을 형성합니다.
이 유전자가 암호화하는 EphB6 수용체는 대부분의 RTK와 달리 kinase 활성이 없으며 ephrin-B 리간드와 결합합니다.
