Target Information

Activator protein-2 alpha (AP-2 alpha)는 척추동물 발달 및 암 발생 과정에서 유전자 발현을 조절하는 발달 관련 전사 인자입니다. 이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 Kruppel-like zinc finger 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, AP-2 alpha 유전자의 프로모터 내 특정 부위에 결합하여 발현을 억제할 수 있습니다. 이 억제 작용에는 코리프레서 CtBP1과의 결합이 필요합니다. 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 각각 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
