Target Information
USP13 is a deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10, participating in autophagy and ER-associated degradation (ERAD).
It functions as part of a regulatory loop controlling autophagy and p53/TP53 levels by stabilizing key regulatory complexes.
USP13 interacts with UFD1 and SKP2, affecting ERAD, and also stabilizes SIAH2 independently of its deubiquitinase activity.
It preferentially cleaves Lys-63–linked polyubiquitin chains and may cleave ISG15 in vitro.
