Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the BLNK gene located on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP‑65 (Src homology 2 domain‑containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa), BLNK acts as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. Studies have shown that B cells fail to develop properly in the absence of BLNK. It undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk, a B cell receptor‑activated kinase, enabling interactions with signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2.
