Target Information

Adenylate Kinase 9 is involved in maintaining cellular nucleotide homeostasis by catalyzing the interconversion of nucleoside phosphates.
It exhibits both nucleoside monophosphate and diphosphate kinase activities:

  • Catalyzes phosphorylation of AMP, dAMP, CMP, and dCMP with ATP as phosphate donor.
  • Catalyzes phosphorylation of CMP with GTP as phosphate donor.
  • Produces ATP, CTP, GTP, UTP, dATP, dCTP, dGTP, and TTP from corresponding diphosphate substrates using ATP or GTP as donors.
  • Shows substrate preference of CDP > UDP > ADP > GDP > TDP.
