Target Information
BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor)는 신경영양인자(neurotrophin) 계열에 속하며, pre-proBDNF로 합성된 후 proBDNF를 거쳐 최종적으로 14 kDa의 성숙 단백질(mature BDNF)로 전환됩니다.
pro-BDNF 또한 생물학적으로 활성이 있으며, 시냅스 소포 내에서 성숙형과 함께 분비됩니다.
BDNF는 중추신경계에서 널리 발현되며, 자가분비 및 측분비 방식으로 다양한 뉴런에 작용합니다. 주요 신호전달은 TrkB 수용체를 통해 이루어지며, p75-NTR과의 결합도 보고되었습니다.
BDNF는 뉴런의 생존과 분화를 촉진하고, 기억 형성과 시냅스 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 알츠하이머병과 헌팅턴병 환자에서 BDNF 발현이 감소하며, 스트레스 반응 및 기분장애의 생물학적 조절에도 관여합니다.
