Aquaporin 2 (AQP2)는 신장 집합관의 수로 단백질로, 호르몬에 의해 조절됩니다.
AQP2 유전자 변이는 인간에서 유전성 신성 요붕증(nephrogenic diabetes insipidus)을 유발합니다.
바소프레신에 의해 유도된 cAMP 증가로 AQP2의 Ser256이 인산화되어, 세포 내 소포에서 주세포의 첨단막으로 이동합니다.
최근 Ser261이 새로운 인산화 부위로 확인되었으며, 바소프레신 처리 시 인산화된 S261 수준이 감소하는 것으로 나타나 AQP2의 바소프레신 의존적 수송에 관여함을 시사합니다.
