Target Information
Cytoplasmic dyneins are large enzyme complexes (~1,200 kD) involved in intracellular transport and motility. They consist of heavy chains forming force-producing heads and stalks connected to a basal domain with accessory intermediate chains.
DYNLL1 is a light chain component of this complex and interacts with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), inhibiting its activity by destabilizing the nNOS dimer. This regulation may influence various biological processes through nitric oxide synthase activity modulation.
