This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MT-ND3 protein.
Target Information
NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I) is a multiprotein complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It plays a crucial role in energy metabolism by transporting electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, coupled with proton translocation from the mitochondrial matrix to the intermembrane space.
Human complex I consists of approximately 41 subunits, with subunits 1–7 encoded by mitochondrial genes and the remainder encoded by nuclear genes.
ND3 localizes to the hydrophobic fragment of complex I, and mutations in the ND3 gene may be associated with Parkinson’s disease.
