Invitrogen™ ProcartaPlex™ Human Atherosclerosis Panel 2, 4plex

The ProcartaPlex Human Atherosclerosis Panel 2, 4plex enables cardiovascular research by analyzing four protein targets — Adiponectin, ICAM-1, Lp-PLA2, and YKL-40 — in a single well using Luminex xMAP technology.
Simultaneous detection of these targets helps gather more information about diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke, peripheral artery disease, and kidney disorders.

This panel is provided in a ready-to-use format with individual vials of capture and detection reagents at 1X concentration, minimizing pipetting and setup time.
It is non-combinable with other panels but complements the following:

• Human Atherosclerosis Panel 1, 9plex (Cat. No. EPX090-15822-901)
• Human Arteriosclerosis Panel, 5plex (Cat. No. EPX050-15821-901)

Together, these panels provide 14 additional protein targets for comprehensive cardiovascular research.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies that bind to distinct epitopes of the same protein.
Each bead in the Luminex system is internally dyed with unique red and infrared fluorophore ratios, enabling identification of up to 80 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample.

The capture antibody is conjugated to a bead (not adsorbed to a plate), allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution. Detection is achieved using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
The Luminex instrument (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX) uses dual lasers to identify bead signatures and quantify fluorescence intensity, which correlates with protein concentration.

Available Formats

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
