Target Information

The DPP10 gene encodes a homolog of dipeptidyl peptidases (DPPs) that cleave terminal dipeptides from cytokines and chemokines, representing a potential target for asthma therapy. DPP10 shares structural features with the S9B family of DPP serine proteases, including DPP4, which plays a key role in chemokine processing within the innate immune system. The gene locus exhibits complex transcript splicing patterns, with eight alternate first exons, four of which are located within the LD block associated with asthma.
