Target Information

NICE4, also known as UBAP2L (Ubiquitin-associated protein 2-like) or KIAA0144, is a 1,087 amino acid protein that is ubiquitously expressed. It is phosphorylated upon DNA damage and contains one UBA domain. NICE4 is expressed as four isoforms produced by alternative splicing events.
The gene encoding NICE4 maps to human chromosome 1, which spans about 260 million base pairs and represents approximately 8% of the human genome. Chromosome 1 contains roughly 3,000 genes and is associated with numerous diseases, including Hutchinson-Gilford progeria (LMNA gene), familial adenomatous polyposis (MUTYH gene), Stickler syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Gaucher disease, and Usher syndrome.
