Target Information
PGAM1은 phosphoglycerate mutase 패밀리에 속하는 효소로, 포도당 및 2,3-BPGA(2,3-bisphosphoglycerate) 대사에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 해당 효소는 glycolytic pathway에서 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA)를 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA)로 가역적으로 전환합니다.
PGAM1 단백질은 이합체(dimeric enzyme) 형태로 존재하며, 근육(MM), 뇌(BB), 혼합형(MB) 이성효소 형태로 조직에 따라 다르게 분포합니다.
PGAM1 유전자 변이는 muscle phosphoglycerate mutase deficiency, 즉 glycogen storage disease X를 유발할 수 있습니다.
재조합 인간 PGAM 단백질은 N-말단에 His-tag가 융합된 형태로 E. coli에서 발현되었으며, 전통적인 크로마토그래피 기술로 정제되었습니다.
