FBXL11 (KDM2A)는 약 40개의 아미노산 길이의 F-box 모티프를 특징으로 하는 F-box 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. F-box 단백질은 SKP1-cullin-F-box로 구성된 유비퀴틴 단백질 리가아제 복합체(SCFs)의 서브유닛 중 하나로 작용합니다.
F-box 단백질은 구조적 특징에 따라 세 가지 클래스로 나뉘며, FBXL11은 leucine-rich repeats를 포함하는 Fbls 클래스에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 F-box 외에도 6개 이상의 변형된 leucine-rich 반복 서열을 포함합니다.
