Target Information
The protein encoded by the FHL5 gene is coordinately expressed with the activator of cAMP-responsive element modulator (CREM). It associates with CREM and confers strong transcriptional activation function. CREM acts as a transcription factor essential for the differentiation of spermatids into mature spermatozoa. Multiple polyadenylation sites and alternative splicing result in several transcript variants encoding the same protein.
