Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, 세포 신호전달, 세포분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다. 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 거의 발현되지 않지만, 대부분의 인간 암 조직에서 높은 발현을 보입니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, RING finger 도메인은 없습니다. G2/M 세포주기 단계에서 발현이 증가하며, 미세소관과 결합하여 세포분열 동안 세포사멸 억제 기능을 수행합니다. 이 상호작용이 방해되면 survivin의 항-아포토시스 기능이 상실되고 caspase-3 활성 증가로 이어집니다. 또한 뇌 손상 후 astrocyte 및 일부 뉴런에서 발현이 증가하며, 신경세포 증식 반응 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. 최소 4개의 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 그중 3개의 전체 길이가 확인되었습니다. 암세포에서 survivin의 과발현은 세포사멸 억제 체크포인트를 우회하여 비정상적인 세포분열을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
