SQSTM1/p62 단백질은 유비퀴틴 결합 및 NF-κB 신호 경로 활성화를 조절하는 다기능 단백질입니다. TNF 수용체 관련 인자 6(TRAF6)과 함께 작용하여 NF-κB를 활성화하며, 다양한 단백질 응집 질환에서 발견됩니다. 이 항체는 인간, 마우스, 랫트 시료에서 SQSTM1/p62 단백질을 검출하는 데 사용됩니다.

세포 내 위치

Cytoplasm, cytosol, late endosome, lysosome, cytoplasmic vesicle (autophagosome), nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, PML body, myofibril, sarcomere.
Cardiac muscle에서는 sarcomeric band에 위치하며, polyubiquitinated protein aggregates가 포함된 inclusion bodies에서 흔히 발견됩니다.
신경퇴행성 질환에서는 Parkinson 병의 Lewy bodies, Alzheimer 병의 neurofibrillary tangles, Huntington 병의 HTT aggregates에서 검출됩니다.
간의 단백질 응집 질환에서는 Mallory bodies, hyaline bodies, SERPINA1 aggregates 등에서 다량 검출됩니다.
또한 pilocytic astrocytoma의 Rosenthal fibers에서도 농축되어 있습니다.

Background

This gene encodes a multifunctional protein that binds ubiquitin and regulates activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) signaling pathway. It functions as a scaffolding/adaptor protein with TNF receptor-associated factor 6 to mediate NF-κB activation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. Mutations cause sporadic and familial Paget disease of bone.
