Recombinant Murine TPO is a fully biologically active 174 amino acid polypeptide (18.7 kDa), containing the erythropoietin-like domain of the full-length TPO protein.

Target Information
Thrombopoietin (TPO, THPO, MPL ligand, megakaryocyte colony-stimulating factor) regulates platelet generation by acting on hematopoietic cells committed to the megakaryocyte lineage. Binding of TPO to its receptor MPL (CD110) activates the JAK/STAT, MAPK, and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways, leading to megakaryocyte proliferation and differentiation, and ultimately platelet production (thrombopoiesis).
TPO is constitutively produced by the liver and has a predicted molecular weight of 38 kDa.
