Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is expressed in tissues derived from coelomic and mullerian epithelium such as pleura, pericardium, peritoneum, fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland. It is also found in mesothelial cells and ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types, as well as in adenocarcinomas of mullerian type.
