Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)은 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원입니다. IAP는 세포 신호전달, 세포분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여하며, 대부분의 암 조직에서는 발현되지만 정상 조직에서는 거의 발현되지 않습니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, RING finger 도메인은 없습니다. 태아기 발달 동안과 대부분의 종양에서 발현이 높고, 성체 조직에서는 낮습니다. Survivin은 세포주기 G2/M 단계에서 발현되며, 유사분열 시 미세소관과 결합하여 세포사멸 억제 기능을 수행합니다. 이러한 상호작용이 방해되면 caspase-3 활성 증가와 함께 세포사멸이 유도됩니다. 또한 뇌 손상 후 astrocyte와 일부 neuron에서 발현이 증가하며, 신경세포 증식 반응 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. Survivin의 과발현은 암세포의 비정상적 세포분열 진행과 관련이 있습니다.
