Target Information
The SLC7A2 gene encodes a cationic amino acid transporter belonging to the APC (amino acid-polyamine-organocation) family. This membrane protein facilitates the uptake of arginine, lysine, and ornithine. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
