Product Specific Information

The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is an isotype control immunoglobulin useful for flow cytometric analysis.
It has been tested on mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 496 (BUV496) is a tandem dye emitting at 496 nm, designed for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Ensure your instrument supports this fluorochrome.

Usage Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright™, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect the vial and stained samples from light to avoid photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal effect on brightness.

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal by lacking relevant antigen specificity.
They are primarily used in flow cytometry but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
For optimal results, isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody, and when using labeled antibodies, should carry the same fluorochrome.
