The KT3 tag is a peptide tag used in biochemical and molecular biology research for protein detection and purification. The PI3K enzyme generates phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3), which facilitates Akt activation at the plasma membrane.
