For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3) is a lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein belonging to the tetraspanin family. It is found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles, and can translocate to the plasma membrane upon cell activation.
CD63 serves as a basophil activation marker and is involved in integrin interactions, phagocytosis, and cell migration. It also regulates H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel function, and acts as a T-cell costimulation molecule.
Expression of CD63 is associated with prognosis in early-stage carcinomas. It is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells. CD63 corresponds to melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases related to CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
