Target Information
ADRBK1 (GRK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that phosphorylates G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), regulating receptor desensitization and internalization. GRK2 (83 kDa) is ubiquitously expressed in mammals and plays a key role in the Ras–Raf–ERK1/2 signaling pathway. Its activity is modulated by phosphorylation through kinases such as PKC, Src, and ERK1/2, and by interactions with other proteins. ERK-mediated phosphorylation at serine 670 inactivates GRK2 via negative feedback.
