Target Information
CYP2A6 유전자는 cytochrome P450 초과 가족의 효소를 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 약물 대사 및 콜레스테롤, 스테로이드, 기타 지질 합성에 관여하는 monooxygenase로 작용합니다. 단백질은 소포체에 위치하며 phenobarbital에 의해 발현이 유도됩니다. Coumarin을 hydroxylation하며, nicotine, aflatoxin B1, nitrosamines 및 일부 의약품을 대사합니다. 특정 대립유전형을 가진 개인은 coumarin 또는 nicotine을 효율적으로 대사하지 못하는 poor metabolizer phenotype을 나타냅니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 19q의 CYP2A, CYP2B 및 CYP2F 하위 계통에 속하는 대형 cytochrome P450 유전자 클러스터의 일부입니다. 이전에는 CYP2A3으로 불렸으나, 현재 CYP2A6으로 명명되었습니다.
